Spring 2027 Student Teacher & Teacher Candidate Placements

Application window: October 26, 2026–February 5, 2027

Apply early and allow approximately two weeks for review and processing. The application takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Before applying, have your program’s required grade band, subject area, placement hours, dates, experience type, and GaPSC Pre-Service Certificate information, if applicable, available.

Placement requirements:

  • Colleges and universities must have a current, signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Houston County School District before a placement can be secured.
  • Candidates who do not hold a Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Pre-Service Certificate must submit a Background Consent Form. Directions are in the application.

Current employees: Those seeking final-semester placements should use this application. Employees seeking placements outside their final semester should contact the Office of Professional Learning.

Placements depend on program requirements, district capacity, and cooperating teacher availability.
