Houston Virtual

Houston County School District Modifies Houston Virtual Application process for the 2025-2026 School Year

To better meet the needs of our community, Houston County School District will now be accepting applications for enrollment in Houston Virtual on a semester basis. The application period will be open from December 1st through the first 5 days of spring semester. During this time, parents of sixth through twelfth grade students will have the opportunity to apply for their child to be considered for Houston Virtual for the spring 2026 semester.

Current Houston Virtual students will be automatically enrolled for the spring 2026 semester assuming adequate course progress. Applications will be reviewed by district leadership to determine acceptance. Students who are accepted will be enrolled in Houston Virtual for the entire semester.

Houston Virtual is a learning platform to deliver online courses. Students in grades 6-12 receive instruction from their teacher through Courseware learning program and Zoom.

To participate in Houston Virtual, students must:

  • commit to virtual learning for the entire semester
  • have reliable internet access at home
  • be available for instruction during regular school hours
  • log-in and participate in the class to be counted as present for the day
  • meet all academic and attendance requirements
  • take district and state-mandated standardized tests in-person; and
  • be enrolled or eligible for enrollment in the Houston County School District.

Applications will be completed through the primary guardian’s Infinite Campus account from 8:00 a.m. on December 1st to 4:00 p.m. on January 9, 2026.
