Q: I cannot find the app on the App Store. What do I need to search?

Q: I've heard that I need the Thrillshare app as a parent. Is this true?
A: No, parents will not use the Thrillshare. Thrillshare is an app teachers and administrators use to manage the content that goes into the Houston County School District app.
Q: I can download the app but when I click on Rooms and try to login with my phone number, I do not receive the text with the 6 digit code. What should I do next?
A: If you did not receive the code, please contact the ATS clerk at your child's school. A list of schools with phone numbers can be found at www.hcbe.net/schools. The ATS clerk can make sure the guardian's cell phone number is correct in Infinite Campus and update if needed. Also, guardians cannot share a cell number or email. Mom and Dad must have separate numbers and emails. Parents must also be labeled as guardians.
Infinite Campus and the mobile app syncs nightly and changes to contact information will be effective the next day.
Q: What number will texts be received from?
A: No matter what school your child attends, texts will be received from the numbers 98900 and 27806- please save these numbers to your contacts.
Q: Will a parent will able to see multiple kids at different schools?
A; Parents will have one login but they can have multiple kids and schools in their account. They will only have to login once to view all students. It's very similar to Class DoJo but with more features. For example, parents can filter by schools so they do not see all of the school's announcements and events mixed into one feed.
Q: Can we delete DoJo from our phones?
A; Yes. Parents no longer need the ClassDoJo app.
Q: Is the HCSD mobile app the only app I need for my kids?
A; There are multiple apps used by the District but the HCSD mobile app will eventually be the only communication app used by schools replacing DoJo and Remind. The other apps - Infinite Campus, Here Comes the Bus, and MySchoolBucks - are used for other purposes besides communication. Q: I'm concerned the app is not secure and anyone who downloads it will be able to see information about my child's specific classes.
A: There is a public feed for the District and schools where everyone can see general announcements, news, and events. The public feed is very similar to following a school on Facebook. Once students return in July, classrooms will be available. Classrooms allow teachers to interact directly with parents through classroom posts, classroom announcements, and two-way messaging. Teachers can also share documents and files that pertain to their class. This section of the app, parents will be required to login for access. The general public will not be able to view this section.
Q: Can parents access the mobile app from a desktop?
A; Yes, there is a desktop version available. However, parents can only view the Rooms portion of the app. They will not be able to see Live Feed (campus wide announcements) and the school's calendar of events. To login to the desktop version, visit https://id.thrillshare.com/. Enter the cell phone number or email on file for your guardian account in Infinite Campus and login. This allows parents the option to view without a mobile device.
