Holiday Give and Go - December 19, 2025
The holiday season is upon us, and we love to GIVE! This year, Houston County School Nutrition has been approved to offer free snack kits for children ages 18 and under during winter break! These kits include a variety of shelf-stable, kid-friendly items such as grahams, cereals, sunflower seeds, goldfish, cheez its, juice, and more. Offering nonperishable items ensures students can enjoy them throughout the break. They’re perfect for traveling families or for kids who may need quick, easy snacks while adults are at work.
Snack kits will be served through the bus or car rider lane on Friday, December 19, 2025, starting at 2:30 p.m. and ending at 4:30, or until supplies last.
The snack kit locations are:
- Northside Elementary - 305 Sullivan Road, Warner Robins, GA 31093
- Langston Primary - 325 Langston Road, Perry, GA 31069
- Bonaire Middle - 125 Highway 96, East, Bonaire, GA 31005
Each site will have 1,000 snack kits, and similar to summer feeding, we will post live updates on meal counts on the Houston County School Nutrition Program's Facebook.
Pictured is a sample of the type of snacks received in the snack kits.

During the summer, our schools are closed, which allows us to use the full kitchen and storage areas needed to prepare and hold complete meal kits. In the winter, school is in session, so our storage space and refrigeration equipment are fully dedicated to serving students who are on campus. However, even with these restrictions, we wanted to be able to offer something to support our community during a time when resources are tight.
By focusing on mostly shelf-stable, kid-friendly items, we are able to provide snack kits that are easy for children to enjoy at home or on the go. We are truly excited to offer this opportunity and hope every child heads into winter break feeling supported, cared for, and remembered!
