Fall 2026 Programs
- Graphite Realism Art Class - September 1, 8, 15, 22 from 4:00pm-5:00pm - Grades 6-12. Learn how to improve your drawings to create realistic portraits. Register at: Graphite Realism Registration Link
- Beginner Sewing - October 5, 19, 26 from 4:00pm-5:00pm - Grades 4-12. Learn beginner sewing skills to complete a simple project. Register at: Beginner Sewing Registration Link
- Pizza Making Class - Tentative Date October 20 from 5:00pm-6:00pm - For Families. Come make a pizza with us! Take it home and cook!! Registration TBD
- Community Garden - Daily Monday through Thursday 9:00am-3:00pm. Come get some horticulture therapy. Help us maintain the Community Garden, drop in during available hours!
- DPH Free Car Seat Check - September 5 from 9:00am-11:00am. Bring your vehicle and child to receive a free car seat safety check. Free car seat to eligible families (while supplies last).
- Canva Design Training - September 8 from 10:00am-12:00pm & 1:00pm- 3:00pm (1 HR Sessions, new session starts each hour). Learn Canva Design tips to help your advertising grow. It is advised you have a laptop, mouse, Canva Pro Account. Register at: Canva Design Registration Link
- Understanding the IEP - September 9th & 12th at the LSSC, from 10-11am, September 16th from 10-11am at the Perry Annex. Join us for a workshop led Georgia Parent Mentor, Marina Jones, as she walks you through the IEP process. Get your questions answered! - Resource Room: Our center provides clothing, household goods and hygiene products for families in needs. It is open to the public from 12:00-5:00pm on the last Tuesday of every month: Aug 26, Sept 30, Oct 28, Nov 18, Dec 16, Jan 27, Feb 24, Mar 24, Apr 28, May 26, Jun 30, Jul 24.
- Food Pantry: Open Tuesday OR Thursday from 12:00-5:00pm. Prepared food bags are available (one per family, one per week).
- LSSC Clinic: The LSSC: is partnering with the Houston County Health Department to offer free to low cost medical appointments. Nurses are on-site to provide basic care. We can treat the following: mild/moderate conditions, high blood pressure, screenings, diabetes, vaccines, physicals....and more!
