  • What are the distribution days for meal packs?
    • Friday, May 30
    • Friday, June 6
    • Wednesday, June 18
    • Friday, June 27
    • Wednesday, July 9
    • Friday, July 18
  • Are there specific traffic patterns I should know about?
Yes. Traffic at meal pickup sites can become congested quickly. We are working with the sheriff’s office to manage traffic and ensure a safe, smooth experience.
  • What is the process for picking up meals?
Due to storage capacity at each school, sites will have 800 meal packs available. At 10:15 a.m., staff will begin labeling vehicles and recording meal requests. Once we reach 800 meal packs, we will redirect any remaining vehicles and close the line to prevent long waits for those we are unable to serve. Meal service will begin at 11:00 am.
  • Where can I find real time updates on distribution days?
We will post real-time updates every 15 minutes on distribution days. Check our Facebook page to see how many meal packs remain at each site.
  • Where can I access storage and reheating recommendations for the food my family received from the multi day meal pick up sites? Storage and reheating recommendations are available here.

The answer to this question depends on the type of meal service offered. The USDA guidelines we follow for meal distribution state:

  • Children are required to be present and consume meals onsite at any walk-in location, mobile route stop, or community sponsor.
  • Children do not have to be present at drive through locations. For this type of service, parents or guardians are allowed to pick up meals for kids, and kids do not have to be present at the time of the meal pack pick up.

No. Children do not need to be enrolled in the Houston County School District to receive meals. Any children 18 and under are eligible.

Our locations will close on June 19, July 3, and July 4, 2025 to allow our staff to observe federal, local, and state holidays.

We sure hope so! Please visit www.hcbe.net/snpsummermeals/hosts for more information. You may also call Sybrennia James, Summer Feeding Coordinator, at 478-322-3308, Ext. 3366, in order to determine if your organization is eligible.
