Instructional Methods:

The primary strategies used during this course consist of brief lecture, discussions, drills, demonstrations, and practice of skills. Most of the student activities will consist of lecture and hands-on applications using the computer and necessary software.

Make-up Work:

Students will be afforded a reasonable opportunity to make up work or tests provided they have documented absences. Students have five days to make up daily assignments once they return to school. However, tests and quizzes must be made up the day the student returns from an excused absence. Tests and quizzes missed while in ISS or alternative school must be taken upon the student’s release.

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all missed work, daily or otherwise, including tests and quizzes are completed in the specified, acceptable time frame. Students and parents will be required to sign an agreement stating that they have reviewed the course outline, are aware of grading procedures, expectations and course requirements. Parents and students will also agree to fulfill their commitments to the best of their abilities and state that they understand that the failure of the student to carry out any of his/her responsibilities could adversely affect the student’s overall grade for the course.
