Parent Involvement Coordinator

Westside Elementary is a Title 1 School. Teachers at Westside are highly qualified to teach your children. If you would like to see those qualifications, just stop by the office and talk with Dr. Cynthia Hammond, our principal.

WESTSIDE needs you to come and help out with activities being held at the school. If you just have a few free minutes or hours during the course of the week, please give us a call and we will be more than happy to get you started on something you like to do. Parents don’t always have to come to the school to help out, you can do a lot of things at home in your free time. So please give us a call here at the school. Thank you. 929-7820

Parents, if you are not aware that we house a small parent resource center in the media center. Please let us show you where it is and some of the things we have in it. Parents you may also get a LIBRARY CARD to check out books to read to you children in the evenings and on weekends. Ask Mrs. Marilyn Mashburn, our Media Specialist, for information on how to go about getting a library card for your family.
