Dr. Donald Warren

Welcome to Warner Robins Middle School

Dear Students and Parents,

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Warner Robins Middle School, I want to personally welcome you to our family.  We look forward to working with and for you to ensure a quality education for all students.

The middle school is a period in which many changes will occur.  The academic requirements and social interactions will be more demanding than those faced in the elementary school.  Starting this school year, WRMS has adopted a research-based student accountability procedure (Excellence without Excuses) that promotes academic achievement with a focus on mastery of the Georgia Performance Standards.  It provides daily accountability of students’ academics to include class work, homework, assessments, and behavior as it relates to school procedures.  Teachers, parents, and students should do the following to ensure success:  check agenda daily and monitor class work/ homework assignments, behavior concerns, & the Excellence without Excuses log in the agenda.  This procedure will be explained by teachers to ensure a clear understanding.  We will work very diligently with you to enable you to be successful.

Your success will also depend largely on your willingness to set high standards of conduct for yourself as well as for those around you.  Your parents, teachers, and administrators are trusting you to make good decisions for your behavior at all times.  Your good decision-making and behavior will result in a safe school, bus, and campus that reflects positively on everyone.

We are here to assist you.  We are very proud of our building and we hope that all students and parents will share this pride with us as well.  Everyone is expected to do his or her part in keeping YOUR building and campus clean.

Remember this is your school – take pride in it!  We wish that you have a GREAT year and welcome to our family.
Sincerely,

Dr. Donald Warren
