Mr. Monday is a 1984 graduate of Warner Robins High School. Upon high school graduation, he went on to college to pursue his goal of becoming a high school social studies teacher and coach. He graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. His first teaching and coaching position was at Tabor Middle School where he taught for two years before joining the Houston County High School Bears coaching staff. During his eight year tenure at Houston County High School, he taught a variety of social science classes including psychology, world geography, economics, etc. He also devoted his time to his position as Head Soccer Coach and defensive line coach. Mr. Monday decided to further his education by obtaining an advanced degree in school leadership from Troy State University. He immediately put his new degree to work when in 2000, he was selected to serve as an assistant principal at Warner Robins High School. He was elated to return to his alma mater. In September of 2004, he was chosen to serve as Interim Principal and was permanently hired to fill the position of Principal in March of 2005. His leadership has kept Warner Robins High School as a leader among high schools in the state. Due to his distinguished leadership, he was selected as Georgia Distinguished Principal in 2007, one of only seven principals recognized throughout the state of Georgia. He continues to lead his school through today’s challenges. Warner Robins High School was recognized in 2009 and 2010 as a Title 1 Distinguished School. Mr. Monday is a true Demon. During his high school years, he played football for the Demons where he was a member of the 1981 State Championship team. He is very proud of his family who support him in his position as principal. He has been married since 1992 to Andrea Monday who is a middle grades gifted teacher at Huntington Middle School. They have two children. Matt is a 10th grader at Warner Robins High School who follows in his dad’s footsteps. He shows his Demon pride playing football and soccer. Katie is an 8th grader who attends Huntington Middle School. Mr. Monday continues to demonstrate his dedication to Warner Robins High School, a school where "Tradition Never Graduates." |

Mrs. Shelley Holmes - email Shelley Holmes graduated from Benjamin E. Mays High School in Atlanta, GA. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Vanderbilt University. She holds a Master of Science degree in English from Jacksonville State University and Education Specialist degree in Education Leadership from Columbus State University. She has been teaching since 1999.
Her educational experience includes: Mrs. Holmes was selected Teacher of the Year for HCCTC in 2003-04 and 2009-10. She is married to Darryl Holmes. They have two children, Traci and Darius. Carol Beatty is a former, present, and future DEMON!! She was an honor graduate of the Class of ’77 and loves serving as assistant principal at her alma mater. After graduating from WRHS, Mrs. Beatty continued her academic and basketball careers on full scholarship at Division 1, University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. She completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from USA and taught her first six years in Mobile, AL. During that time, she was a successful head basketball coach at St. Paul’s College Preparatory School. Mrs. Beatty returned to Houston County in 1987 and spent 15 years at Warner Robins Middle School teaching several different subjects during her tenure there. She earned her Education Specialist degree at Georgia College and State University in 1993 and added Leadership and Supervision at Columbus College and State University in 2002. Mrs. Beatty served as Assistant Principal of Instruction at Northside Middle School for three years prior to returning to WRHS. Mrs. Beatty is married to Bill Beatty who is the head baseball coach at WRHS. They are the proud parents of three children. Chris McCook earned a Bachelors of Science in Education degree from Georgia Southern University and a Masters/Specialist Degree in Ed. Leadership from Columbus State University. He has spent the past eleven years working in the classroom as well as working with the In School Suspension program at HCHS. Also, during that time Mr. McCook worked with a variety of athletic teams. He spent most of his time as a varsity football coach and the head boy's soccer coach. He is married to Megan McCook who is a teacher at Lake Joy Primary. They have two children, Ansley and Jackson, who are very proud to be apart of the DEMON family. You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives. |
