Semester exams will be administered Wednesday, May 22 – Friday, May 24.  First-third period exams will take place Wednesday; fourth and fifth period exams are Thursday; and sixth and seventh period exams are Friday.  Senior exams will begin Monday, with seniors taking sixth and seventh period exams during their regular class periods on Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21.

Per board policy, high school students can exempt their semester exams if they meet the following qualifications:

    1.    they have an A average (90 or above – this includes any points given for AP or gifted classes),

    2.    are absent no more than four (4) days during the semester,

    3.    must not have been a discipline problem in the course to be exempted,

    4.    must not have been assigned to ISS during the semester, and

    5.    must have cleared all obligations to the school, including media center, textbooks, school property, fees and the like.

Your student will receive notification from each classroom teacher.  Additionally, you will receive a message on Infinite Campus and in your email, if you have chosen email notification for Infinite Campus, by the end of the week.   If you do not receive notification of exemption, and you feel this is in error, please contact the student’s teacher via email.

Your student will not be required to be present during the time allotted for this course’s exam.  The exam schedule is available on the school website for the particular times/dates for each exam period.
