Barfield reads
Mrs.Sarah Barfield, Media Specialist
Mrs. Barfield LOVES working in the Media Center!

Mrs. Barfield has worked in the Houston County school system since 1999. She taught English for four years at WRHS, then she took a year off to travel the US with her husband. When she came back, she taught English at NHS for three years.

Mrs. Barfield received her BA degree in English and Education from Mercer University in 1994. While at Mercer, she was inducted into the Kappa Delta Epsilon Honor Society for exceptional achievements in her teacher education program. In December of 2003, she was awarded her Master's Degree for Instructional Technology, Media Specilaist with a 4.0 GPA.

Mrs. Barfield is married to a veteran of the USAF and has one daughter. She has lived in middle Georgia all of her life. Her interests include reading good literature, reading children's books, and writing both. Her poetry was published in a national anthology, and she is currently working on a children's book. Mrs. Barfield also loves to sing and spend time with her family in the great outdoors.

Mrs. Sieting has been at Shirley Hills for a long time, and she knows the media center inside and out. She knows all of the students' names, and loves working with all of us. Her expertise is greatly appreciated.
