Miranda Burke is a split assistant principal at Pearl Stephens Elementary and Quail Run Elementary. She taught two years in the Crawford County School System prior to coming to Houston County. Mrs. Burke hails from a family of educators. Her father is a college professor and her mother is a teacher in the system. Mrs. Burke taught three years at Thomas Elementary and five years at Quail Run Elementary before moving into her current position as an assistant principal. Mrs. Burke obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting and a Masters of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Fort Valley State University. Additionally she has a certificate in Supervision and Administration and a Specialist Degree from Troy State University. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Argosy University.

Mrs. Burke enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband Anthony, her baby Timothy, and their Yellow Labrador Retriever Chelsea.

Pearleen Ross

Ms. Ross began working in the Houston County School System in 1975. She received her B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from Fort Valley State University. She received a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southwestern College. In 1990 she received a Specialist degree in Guidance and Counseling from The University of Georgia. She began her career as a kindergarten teacher then third grade and presently a counselor.
Ms. Ross is the wife of a Baptist Minister and the proud mother of one son, Brandon. She enjoys shopping, traveling, meeting new people, spending time with family and friends, and looking forward to retirement.
