Mr. Elgin Mayfield
Mr. Elgin Mayfield, a Peach County native, comes to Perry Primary by way of Parkwood Elementary School in Warner Robins, where he served as the Assistant Principal for Instruction. Prior to beginning his career in administration Mr. Mayfield taught at Bert Rumble Middle and Northside High. He has been with the Houston County School System for eleven years, and looks forward to working with the teachers, students, parents, and staff of Perry Primary.
Mr. Mayfield earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Columbus State in 2004 and his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Valdosta State in 1995. His wife, Pamela, is a Speech Pathologist for the Houston County School System, and he has two beautiful daughters, Abigail and Caroline.

My name is Debora Russell. I am the Assistant Principal for Instruction at Perry Primary School. My job is to guide and support instruction in order for all students to learn.
I make sure teachers have the necessary materials/supplies they need and provide professional learning opportunities that will ensure quality teaching.
Learning is valued here and we guard our instructional time at Perry Primary School.
A consistent learning environment is provided daily.
Our team works hard at Perry Primary School and gives every child the very best!

Mr. Willis Jones
Mr. Jones is entering his 28th year as an educator. For the past 14 years he has worked in the Dodge County School System as teacher, coach, and assistant principal. He is entering his first year with the Houston County School System as Assistant Principal for Kings Chapel Elementary School and Perry Primary School.
