Perry Middle School

Perry Middle School has again made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) and has approximately 780 students enrolled. There are sixty-five certified staff members on our faculty. All teachers are "Highly Qualified" and over sixty-one percent of our faculty has earned advanced degrees. One of our teachers is Nationally Certified. Our certified staff has an average of 11.6 years of experience. All faculty members have been trained to teach the middle school learner, as well as specific subject areas. Every student is assigned to an academic team. Teachers communicate formally with parents every four and a half weeks through progress reports and report cards. However, parents are contacted as the need presents itself (both good and bad). We ask for and encourage parental involvement. Parent/teacher conferences can be set up at any time. Please call the Counseling Department (988-6285) to schedule a meeting with your child's teachers. Remember - communication is a two-way street.

Perry Middle is a "Title 1" school. The delivery model is school-wide. We use these funds to pay for one additional teacher, to assist with professional learning costs, and to purchase technology (Smart Boards and In-focus Projectors) to install in every academic classroom in an effort to move our school towards becoming a "21st Century School".

Visitors are always welcome; however, for safety reasons, we ask that visitors sign-in through the office and receive a visitor's badge.
