Coach Smith graduated from Warner Robins High in 1976. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Accounting from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. After working in Health Care for 18 years he began teaching 6 years ago. The 2005-2006 school year will be his 3rd year teaching at Perry High School. His teaching experience includes Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Applications in Biology and Chemistry, Physical Science, and Algebra.
Coach Smith is currently teaching ABC, Biology, and Physical Science in the Special Education Department. He is an assistant football coach and will be coaching boys and girls golf this year.
Coach Smith is married to Doreen Thwaites Smith who teaches Language Arts at Perry Middle School. He has 3 sons. His oldest, Christopher, is serving in the Army. Daniel is pursuing an education degree at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. The youngest son, Benjamin, has just graduated from Houston County High and plans to attend GC&SU this fall with an undeclared major. |
