She has been teaching Social Studies for 13 years, 10 of those at Perry High School. She was recognized by her colleagues as the 2003-4 Teacher of the Year. She was selected as the Runner Up for the Houston County Teacher of the Year for that same year. Mrs. Dorman is Sponsor of the Perry High School Key Club.
