Karen McDonald
Mrs. Karen McDonald

Karen McDonald was born and raised in Warner Robins and graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1975. She attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia and graduated in 1978 with majors in Political Science and Sociology. She entered Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University and graduated in 1982 with a Juris Doctor degree. After serving as a law clerk with Hawkinsville and Warner Robins firms, she began teaching at Perry High School in the fall of 1986. She taught Civics, American History, World History, Economics, Current Issues, and Study Skills. Mrs. McDonald has been married since 1983 to George A. Brannen. She has a son, Park Brannen, who attends Gainesville College in Watkinsville and is planning to become a Social Studies teacher or an attorney. Her stepdaughter, Lisa Moss, teaches Special Education at Pery Middle School. Lisa's husband, Randy, is Athletic Director there. The Moss' have two sons, Payton and Brannen.
