At least three units of credit shall be required in social studies. One unit of credit shall be required in United States history. One unit of credit shall be required from the world studies area, e.g., world history or world geography. World history shall be required for the College Preparatory and College Preparatory with Distinction seals. World geography may be taken to meet the world studies requirement for the College Preparatory and College Preparatory with Distinction seals. World geography may be taken to meet the world studies requirement for a Technology/Career-Preparatory (TC) or Technology/Career-Preparatory with Distinction (TC+) seal. One-half unit of citizenship education (government) shall be required. One-half unit of Principles of Economics/Business/Free Enterprise shall be required. |

Mrs. Anderson came to Perry High School in 1997 from Middle GA Christian School in Macon, GA. She was an honor graduate of Northside High School, class of 1979.
She attended the University of Georgia, class of 1983, cum laude and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism along with a minor in History and Political Science. She received her teacher certification from Mercer University in 1996.
Mrs. Anderson is married to Kelly Anderson and has two children: Emily, 20, and Patrick, 15. Her hobbies include travel, reading, and anything to do with History. Her two favorite places to visit are the Great Smokey Mountains in North Carolina and London, England.

Mrs. Dorman graduated from Georgia Southwestern College in 1991 with a B.S. degree in Social Studies. She has been teaching Social Studies for 16 years at Perry High School.
She was selected by her colleagues as the 2003-4 Perry High Teacher of the Year and was selected as the Runner Up for the Houston County Teacher of the Year for that same year.

Karen McDonald was born and raised in Warner Robins and graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1975. She attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia and graduated in 1978 with majors in Political Science and Sociology. She entered Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University and graduated in 1982 with a Juris Doctor degree. After serving as a law clerk with Hawkinsville and Warner Robins firms, she began teaching at Perry High School in the fall of 1986. She taught Civics, American History, World History, Economics, Current Issues, and Study Skills. Mrs. McDonald has been married since 1983 to George A. Brannen. She has a son, Park Brannen, who attends Gainesville College in Watkinsville and is planning to become a Social Studies teacher or an attorney. Her stepdaughter, Lisa Moss, teaches Special Education at Pery Middle School. Lisa's husband, Randy, is Athletic Director there. The Moss' have two sons, Payton and Brannen. |

Mr. Bozeman came to Perry High School in 1997 after spending twenty plus years in private education teaching and coaching basketball. He graduated from Perry High School in 1964. He graduated from Georgia Southwestern College in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree in History. He also attended Brewton Parker College.
Mr. Bozeman is married to Bonnie Bozeman and has three children: Angie, 30; Natalie, 26; and Blake, 21. His main hobbies are tennis and reading.

Jerry Gatzke has an Bachelor's Degree from Syracuse University and a Master's Degree from Georgia Southwestern University. He is a member of Kappa Delta Phi Educational Honor Society. His teaching certification is in Social Studies, Grades 7-12, and Special Education, Grades 7-12, and he has taught now for 12 years in Virginia and Georgia.
Jerry coaches Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country, 8th grade girls basketball at Perry Middle, and Girls Varsity Soccer and lives in Warner Robins with his wife, Marilyn.
