Mrs. Conner graduated from Georgia Southern College (now University) with a Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1988. She began her teaching career in Lamar County where she taught Earth Science and Biology. But then she was bitten by the "love bug" and moved to Perry after she was married to her husband, Mark. She taught Biology and Anatomy & Physiology in Peach County for 3 years before she was hired to teach Honors Biology and Anatomy at Houston County High School in 1992. It was during this time that she had her first child and decided to become a stay-at-home mom. During the 5 years she was at home, she taught piano and was the organist for her church, while managing to change diapers, attend playgroups with her daughters, and just enjoying being a mom.
Mrs. Conner returned to teaching at Perry High School in 1999. She teaches AP Biology, 9th grade Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology to some of the BEST students she's ever known. She is also the advisor for Junior Civitans, which boasts 104 members.
Mrs. Conner and her husband, Mark, live in Perry with their two daughters, Elizabeth and Mary Catherine. The newest member of the family is a Bichon frise named Buddy. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, shopping, and spending time with her family--especially at their new 12-acre farm in Elko.
