Chief Master Sergeant Retired Lelan R. Callan is the Aerospace Science Instructor Perry High School, Perry Georgia. Chief Callan instructs Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadets in Aerospace Science, Leadership and management, Customs and Courtesies, Drill and Ceremonies, and Life after High School.

Chief Callan entered the Air Force through basic training in June 1966 at Amarillo Air Force Base Texas. After Completing basic he entered the Maintenance career Field and was trained as a Propulsion Specialist. During his 29 year career Chief Callan has served with various units within eight different commands. Prior to his Retirement and assuming his present position he held numerous supervisory responsibilities. These included Wing Command Chief Master Sergeant, Field Maintenance Squadron Superintendent, Avionics Repair Branch Superintendent, Aerospace Systems Branch Superintendent, Propulsion Superintendent, and NCOIC Aircraft Engine Testing Facility.

Chief Callan is married to the former Anne Chamberlain of Scarborough, Yorkshire England. They have three Children Carol, Belinda and Lelan, and three grandchildren.
