Mary Gentry graduated with a B. A. in Mathematics, minor in education, from Tift College and an M.Ed. in Mathematics Education from Georgia Southwestern College and State University. In addition to serving as Chairperson of the Math Department, she also serves as Literary Coordinator and Gifted Lead Teacher.
In 2002 Mrs. Gentry was named as Georgia STAR Teacher and in 2005 was named as Perry High School's STAR Teacher. She was also selected as Perry High School's Teacher of the Year in 1993.
Mrs. Gentry's family includes husband, Dr. Greg Gentry; stepson, Curt Gentry, and son, J.W., a student at Perry Middle School. She and her family attend First Baptist Perry and are avid runners.

Mr. Crum graduated with high honors from Boyd County High School in Kentucky and later from the University of South Florida with a B.A. Degree in Accounting. He worked as an accountant for USPS in Sarasota, FL and volunteered at the Sarasota Boys and Girls Club for the athletic department and with at-risk children.
A first-year teacher at Perry High School, Mr. Crum is married and has two great sons. |

Mr. Daniels came to Perry High School in the Fall of 2008 after graduating from Valdosta State University with a BSED in mathematics. He is teaching Math I and Algebra III and will be working with the wrestling team this season. |
Robert Daughtry |

Mr. Daughtry received a B.S. in Business Management from Auburn University, Secondary Mathematics Education Certification from Georgia Southwestern College, an M.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education from Mercer University, Educational Leadership Certification from Georgia College and State University, and an Ed. S. in Educational Leadership from the University of Sarasota.
He has taught at Northside Middle School, Northside High School, Elberta Open Campus High School, Houston County High School, and now in 2008, at Perry High School.

Alicia Gilmore |

Alicia Gilmore is a former student and honor graduate of Perry High School. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Albany State University. While attending ASU she participated in athletics for the Rams. In addition, she was president of her Freshman, Sophomore and Senior classes. She completed her Masters in Education at Columbus University and is presently attending graduate school to obtain her Doctorate's degree in Education.
Ms. Gilmore is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She brings a wealth of knowledge and hands on experience from the Corporate sector where she worked in mid and upper management positions prior to pursuing a career in Education. Her areas of concentration were Banking/Finance and Healthcare.
She's very active in the Performing Arts and Athletics and is honored to be able to share her knowledge and experience with her students. Outside of the classroom she coaches Lady Panther Track/Field and PHS's step team "GIFTED" (Graciously and Individually Fitted Together to educate and promote Excellence and Dedication). The squad consists of male and female students who are actively involved in academic achievement and student development at Perry High School.
She's also the Coordinator for the annual Black History Program at Perry High School. In addition, she serves as a mentor to at-risk youth. She's also a motivational speaker and places an emphasis on uplifting and motivating her students via creative and innovative methods of teaching. Her style has proven to be both interesting and effective and she's excited about the changes that she's implementing for the 06-07 school year. |
Kristine Keplinger |

Mrs. Keplinger received her Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Georgia State University in 1992 with a minor in Actuarial Science. She started teaching in Pensacola, Florida in 2002. She went to the University of West Florida while teaching full time to attain her Masters in Secondary Education. She moved to Okinawa, Japan in 2004 and taught with the Department of Defense schools for two years and coached softball her last year. She moved to Georgia in the summer of 2007 and began teaching at Perry High School.
Mrs. Keplinger's husband is in the Navy and her one son begins Middle School this year. Between her wonderful husband, terrific son, and two German shepherds, she stays very busy. |

Richard Kilburn |

Mr. Kilburn came to Perry High School from Warner Robins High School where he spent four years teaching a variety of courses from freshman algebra to AP Calculus BC. He was recognized in the 2006-2007 edition of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.
Mr. Kilburn is a 1998 honor graduate of Perry High School. He attended Georgia Southern University and was honored with the 2001-2002 Outstanding Senior Award in Mathematics. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Mathematics in 2002.
After graduation Mr. Kilburn attended graduate school at the University of Florida. While there, he was a teaching assistant for pre-calculus and calculus courses and lectured calculus I and II. In 2004 he graduated with an M.S. in Mathematics. |
Dr. Li Ma |

Dr. Ma earned a Bachelor Degree in food science from Wuxi Institute of Light Industry, Wuxi, China. He continued his education at Washington State University, earning an M.S. in Food Science in 1991 and a Ph.D. in Engineering Science in 1996. Dr. Ma then conducted a year’s postdoctoral research at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas. He then accepted employment as Quality Assurance Supervisor/Laboratory Manager for Continental Grains Company in Douglas, Georgia and Cagle’s, Inc. in Perry, Georgia. Two years ago, Dr. Ma earned a secondary education certificate from the State of Georgia and became a mathematics instructor. |
Shawn Masters |

Mr. Masters graduated with an A.A. in Secondary Education from Middle Georgia College and a B.S. in Mathematics Education from Georgia Southern University. He has taught for 4 years at West Laurens High School, 2 years at Treutlen High School, and 5 years at Perry High School. Mr. Masters is the head baseball coach at Perry High School. |
Marlon Robinson |

Mr. Marlon Robinson is a 10-year teaching veteran with the Houston County Schools. He was honored as "Teacher of the Year" in the year 2005. He has an Associate's degree in Secondary Education from Middle Georgia College, a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Education from Fort Valley State University, and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Through the years, Mr. Robinson has coached Girl's Softball, Girl's Basketball, Boy's Basketball, and Baseball. He is a member of the PHS Better Seeking Team and School Council. He is married to Marien Robinson and is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. He currently resides as the church administrator of Greater Word of Deliverance Ministries, Incorporated.

Mr. Said graduated with a BS in secondary math education from Brewton-Parker College in 1999 and began his teaching career at Dublin High School. He has been teaching at Perry High School since 2001. |
Christi Steese |

Christi has been teaching for 13 years in the mathematics department - 10 years at Rumble Middle, 1 year at Perry Middle and 2 years at Perry High. Currently she has a bachelor's degree in secondary education and in mathematics, but this summer she plans to begin school to obtain her master's degree.
She is married with 2 children, both boys. They all attend church at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Perry on Highway 41, where she is a member of the choir and helps the youth on Wednesday nights.
Her hobbies include reading, jigsaw puzzles, cross stitching, and any kind of brain teaser puzzles. Her whole family loves watching movies and they have quite a collection. Come and watch a movie with them - her husband makes the best popcorn in the world!
