OLIVER Email Kayren Oliver
Kayren Oliver graduated from Central High School in Macon, GA in 1992. She then graduated Magna Cum Laude from Valdosta State University in 1996 with a degree in Secondary Education. She continued her education at Fort Valley State University and received a Master's degree in School Counseling and Guidance in 1999. Mrs. Oliver would like to continue her education and would one day like to be called "Dr.Oliver". She is married to James Oliver who is a business education teacher and has one daughter named Elizabeth. Her hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, and doing crafts. Mrs. Oliver has been teaching at PHS for 10 years and has taught all levels of Spanish.

Travel Experience
Mrs. Oliver has traveled throughtout Mexico. The places she has visited include Guanajuato, Guadalajara, Merida, Mexico City, and Laredo. She has also traveled to Venezuela. Mrs. Oliver suggests that all her students take advantage of travel/study abroad programs. The best way to learn a foreign language is to "live the language" you are trying to learn!

Spanish one is an introductory course. Students will learn the basics of the language including the alphabet, colors, months, days of the week, basic greetings, family members, food, and sports. There are two verbs tenses learned in this class. Classzone is a website that accompanies the textbook "En Espano" that can help a student to study.

Spanish two includes a review of Spanish one and builds upon those concepts. Spanish two also includes more verb tenses such as imperfect, conditional, future, commands, and the subjunctive mood. Classzone is a website which accompanies the textbook "En Espanol" that can help a student to study.
