STAR
Ashley and Amber won GOLD at the FCCLA Region Star Event Competition. They received a score of 98 out of a possible 100. Their presentation was about the chapter service project the club did on the animal shelter.
The first ever Perry High School FCCLA Parliamentary Procedure Team won a gold medal at their State Leadership Meeting. The team consisted of Reneasha (President), Tiffany (Secretary). Kiki (Treasurer), Jaheera (Member), and Jarielle (Member). The team had to conduct a professional meeting according to Robert’s Rules of Order. They were one point away from going to Nationals. |

STAR Events
(Students Taking Action with Recognition) are competitive events in which members are recognized for proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills, and occupational preparation. STAR Events offer individual skill development and application of learning through the following activities
Cooperative – teams work to accomplish specific goals
Individualized – members work alone to accomplish specific goals
Competitive – individual or team performance measured by an established set of criteria
