Dr. Alfreda Fluellen-Hall attended Perry Middle School, Perry Junior High, and graduated from Perry High School in 1984. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education from Fort Valley State University in 1987. Dr. Fluellen-Hall earned a Master's degree from Fort Valley State University in 1990 and Specialist degree from Troy State University in 1992 in Middle Grades Education. In 1994 she earned certification in Guidance and Counseling from Fort Valley State University. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2000 from Nova Southeastern University. In 1987, Dr. Fluellen-Hall began teaching at Bonaire Elementary School. She taught there seven years. She was a school counselor at Perry Elementary for two years, a counselor at Perry Middle School for five and a half years. In January 2002 she became the assistant principal at Perry Middle School. Dr. Fluellen-Hall's motto is to live your life so others will remember the great things you have done. She values working with young people and she recognizes that they are the key to our future and we must invest whatever it takes to build their strengths for tomorrow. |

Gay Nelson is a native of Hawkinsville, GA, and has lived in Middle Georgia her entire life. She is a graduate of Hawkinsville High School; Middle Georgia College AA-Education; Georgia Southwestern College BS -Elementary Education; Georgia Southwestern College MEd - Middle Grades Education; Georgia Southwestern College EdS - Middle Grades Education; and has completed Post Graduate work at the University of Georgia in Educational Leadership. She completed her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern University in 2010. Dr. Nelson truly believes in being a "life-long learner". Dr. Nelson has been an educator for over thirty years. She taught 5th grade at Perry Elementary, Middle Grades at Baker Academy, 5th Grade at Kings Chapel Elementary and has been the Instructional Coordinator/Assistant Principal for Instruction at Perry Middle since 1991. In 1986, she was named Star Teacher by one of her former students and in 1990, Dr. Nelson was named Teacher of the Year at Kings Chapel Elementary. She takes great pride that Perry Middle School was named a School of Excellence in 1996. Dr. Nelson is married to Pat Nelson of Hawkinsville and they have two grown children, Clay and Joy. Their empty nest is complete with three dogs, Blossom, Big, and HamBone. Her hobbies include riding the Harley, 4-Wheeling at Big Creek Trail Ride and being the "Queen of the Double-wide" at Lake Blackshear. She enjoys walking, water skiing and staying active. |

Ms. Hess is a native of the metro Atlanta area. She graduated from Berkmar High School in Lilburn, Georgia. She is a former majorette and Atlanta Hawks Cheerleader. She attended Oxford College of Emory University and Georgia State University. She graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She earned a Masters in Guidance and Counseling from Georgia State University in 1992. Ms. Hess began her counseling career at Pulaski County Middle School in 1992 where she also served as Cheerleading and Drill Team Coach, Junior Civitan Sponsor, Student Assistance Program Leader, and Wellness Team Coordinator. She takes pride in winning the action award for Wellness Week IX for Georgia: Outstanding Implementation -Staff Wellness Program. Ms. Hess served on the leadership team for the Georgia School Counselors Association as Archives Chair, Middle School Worksetting V.P., Exhibits Co-Chair, Second Vice-President, Conference Committee, Professional Recognition Chair, and Treasurer. Ms. Hess completes her list of accomplishments by being the proud mother of Kayli Hess. |
