Our media center is open for all students each school day 8:00-3:30. Students may come to the media center for book check-out, research and silent reading throughout the day with permission from their teacher. Students K-2nd may check out one book at a time. Students 3rd-5th grades may check out two books at a time. We do not charge fines for overdue books; however, students are unable to check out a new book until the late book is returned. If a book is damaged or lost, it must be paid for before check-out privileges resume. We are asking to help your child be responsible for his/her library book. Help your child find a safe place to store his/her book. We recommend that once the library book has been read at home that it be placed back in the child's bookbag. We must work as a team to take care of our books and keep them in good condition. Reference books are reserved for use only in the media center in order to be readily accessible to students, teachers and staff. |
