(478) 929-7858 Mrs. Kawanya (Kay) Isom has been an administrator at Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia since July of 2004. Prior to that, Mrs. Isom served as the Chairperson of the Perry High School English Department. Under her tutelage in 2002, 100% of Perry High School's Career and Technology 11th graders who took the Georgia High School Graduation Test for the first time passed. She founded the reading program Fantastic Friday, which focuses on comprehension, vocabulary and reading skills. This program serviced students in grades 2 -11 in the Perry area. In 2001, Mrs. Isom established a mentor program between Tucker Elementary and Perry High School. In 2004, she began an alumni mentor program at Calhoun County High School in Edison, Ga. Mrs. Isom assisted in the development of the Georgia Southwestern University Teacher Education Program. In 2001, she coordinated the first Perry After School Academy (PASA) - remedial classes for 9th graders. In 2001, she orchestrated, cast, and directed Perry High School's first Black History Observance Month Program, which completed its fourth annual performance in 2004.

(478) 322-3310 Dr. Stephens is a native of Jeffersonville, Georgia where he began his teaching and administrative career. He is a graduate of Twiggs County High School. He is also a graduate of Tuskegee University (BS), Southern University and A&M College (MPA), and Troy State University (Educational Leadership Endorsement). This is Dr. Stephens' third year at Northside and his thirteenth year as an administrator. He most recently served Bibb County School System as an Assistant Principal. Walter is proudly married to Renee, who teaches 8th grade English and Language Arts at Thomson Middle School. They have four children-James, Joseph, Jordan and Jonathan. We are actors, and if we forget that, then we will never work. I don't have to always have the main role in a film, I am an actor. I act regardless of how large or small the role is. It is my job to give 100% with every role even if it is only a few lines. |
