Philosophy of Teaching
email
Teaching is the opportunity to touch a life academically, socially and emotionally. So often the joy of my day is seeing a child make one more connection between their world and the Spanish language. I want the students of Northside High to leave with more than just a grade in Spanish, but a delight in learning a second language that is so prevalent to their day and age. Every child can learn and my desire is to see them achieve their ability of excellence in my class. And even greater, if they are diligent to study and commit Spanish to being a part of their lives, it can and will be a huge asset in their future endeavours.

TRAVEL
Argentina
I absolutely love to travel and experience as much of the amazing cities around the world as possible. The joys began in 1995 as I traveled in Europe for three weeks visiting Germany, the Czec Republic and the Netherlands. In 1996, I spent ten days during the summer in Culiacan and Cofradía, Mexico. In 1998, I worked in a Spanish Mission Church in Chicago, Illinois. In 1999, I went to Zeilona Gora, Poland. In 2004, I traveled to Lu'hansk, Ukraine; Santiago, Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and the Gran Bahama Island. As the Lord leads, I hope to continue to travel and be able to bring back something for my students to experience. Even if it is but a glimpse of another people or culture, the joy of learning can be enticed by real life situations and they will reach someone.
