Mr. Mark Scott comes to Houston County from Milledgeville, Georgia where he has lived for most of his life. He holds a Specialist in Education degree from Georgia College and State University, a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Georgia.

Mr. Scott has worked in education for over 20 years and has experience at both the high school and middle school levels. He has served as a teacher and as an assistant principal at the high school level. He most recently served Baldwin County School System as a middle school principal before coming to Northside High School.

Mr. Scott believes that it is a privilege to be a part of the Houston County School System and he was quoted saying, “I am humbled by the trust that the Board of Education and Superintendent Carpenter have placed in me as the Principal of Northside High School. It is an honor to be part of a school that has such a strong tradition in all aspects of education, including academics, athletics and fine arts. It is great to be a Northside Eagle.”

Mrs. Kawanya (Kay) Isom has been an administrator at Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia since July of 2004. Prior to that, Mrs. Isom served as the Chairperson of the Perry High School English Department. Under her tutelage in 2002, 100% of Perry High School’s Career and Technology 11th graders who took the Georgia High School Graduation Test for the first time passed. She founded the reading program Fantastic Friday, which focuses on comprehension, vocabulary and reading skills. This program serviced students in grades 2 -11 in the Perry area. In 2001, Mrs. Isom established a mentor program between Tucker Elementary and Perry High School. In 2004, she began an alumni mentor program at Calhoun County High School in Edison, Ga. Mrs. Isom assisted in the development of the Georgia Southwestern University Teacher Education Program. In 2001, she coordinated the first Perry After School Academy (PASA) - remedial classes for 9th graders. In 2001, she orchestrated, cast, and directed Perry High School’s first Black History Observance Month Program, which completed its fourth annual performance in 2004.

Mr. McDermott has been teaching and coaching since 1992. He began his teaching career at Hawkinsville High School. In 1995 he came to Houston County as a teacher and coach at Northside Middle School. From there he joined the staff at Feagin Mill Middle School. He is a 1985 graduate of Northside High School. Mr. McDermott earned a Bachelors degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Georgia College. He currently holds a Masters degree in Administration and Supervision from Georgia College and State University. Mr McDermott joined the administrative staff at Northside in July of 2005.

Greg Peavy is a native of Warner Robins, and has been an educator in the Houston County school system for 14 years. He graduated from Warner Robin s High School in 1989. He received a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Columbus State University in 1993. Mr. Peavy holds a Masters and Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University.

Mr. Peavy has been at Northside High School for a total of eight years. This is his third year as Assistant Principal.

Greg has been married to Paula, also a Warner Robins native, for 14 years. Paula is the gifted program teacher at Lake Joy Elementary. They have two children, Morgan and Colin.
