Mrs. Paige Busbee
Principal

Mrs. Paige Busbee, a Houston County native, is an alumnus of Centerville Elementary; Northside Jr. High, and Northside High School. She continued her education at Auburn University where she received a bachelor's degree in Science and a Master's of Education degree. She later received her Specialist in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. She has eight years of teaching experience in the Houston County School system, and twelve years experience as a middle school administrator, including six years serving as Principal at Feagin Mill Middle School.  She completed the Georgia Governor's Leadership institution and the Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement.  In 2006, the Georgia Association of Middle School Principals presented Mrs. Busbee with the Mike Campbell Exemplary Leadership Award.  Her love for children, passion for teaching, and work experience has prepared her well for the role of instructional leader.
 

Mrs. Olethia Thomas
Assistant Principal for Instruction

Ms. Thomas received her bachelor’s of science degree from Clark Atlanta University where she majored in Biology.  She began her educational career in the DeKalb County School System.  She worked as a gifted science and math teacher, coach, and department chair.  After returning to school to study educational leadership, she received both a Master’s of Education degree from Georgia State University and an Educational Specialist Degree from Columbus State University.  She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education degree through Valdosta State University.

As a product of the Houston County School System, Ms. Thomas is proud to be able to give back to such a dynamic system.   In Houston County, she has been fortunate to work with an energetic and innovative team of teachers and leaders throughout her career. As part of the Houston County School System, she has served at Hunting Middle School as a science teachers and Feagin Mill Middle School as the Assistant Principal for Discipline. She has 10 years of teaching, coaching and administrative experience and is looking forward to many more great years. Ms. Thomas hopes to make a positive and significant impact on the student achievement and faculty and staff development while working at Mossy Creek Middle School as the Assistant Principal for Instruction.



Dr. Andy Gentry

Andy Gentry was born and raised in Houston County. After high school, he attended college on a baseball scholarship where he played at Georgia College and then at Georgia Southwestern. He received both his Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Physical Education from Georgia Southwestern. He later attended Argosy University where he earned a Specialist degree and Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership.

Dr. Gentry has 18 years of teaching, coaching and administrative experience in the Houston County school system. He taught and coached at Perry Middle School, Perry High School, and Houston County High School. He has been the Assistant Principal at Mossy Creek for four years.

Mrs. Jeri A. McCranie

Jeri McCranie is a native of Thomasville, Georgia where she graduated from high school in 1989. Mrs. McCranie received a B.S. in Special Education at The University of Georgia - GO DAWGS - and a Master's Degree in School Counseling from Fort Valley State University in May of 2006. She taught Special Education at Feagin Mill Middle School for 7 years and was the counselor at Morningside Elementary for 1 year. She is excited about being a Mossy Creek Gator. Mrs.McCranie lives in Perry with her husband and two children, Bryce and Bowen. She is looking forward to creating relationships with the students here at Mossy Creek Middle School through the guidance and counseling program.

Mrs. Vallena Moss

Mrs. Moss received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University, a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from Fort Valley State University and a Specialist degree in Curriculum Instruction and Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She previously taught 7th grade Language Arts at Feagin Mill Middle School. Mrs. Moss' prior experience involved two years as a special education assistant at Valdosta State University and four years as a counselor for the Upward Bound Program. She is excited about providing services to the staff and students of Houston County to ensure student achievement. Mrs. Moss' favorite pastimes are reading and spending time with her husband and two boys.
