Morningside has a newly reorganized PTO organization. The PTO provides many services to both the faculty and students. Your Parent Teacher Organization is composed of all parents with students enrolled at Morningside. PTO also has teachers working actively with parents through PTO to enrich the school wide program for students. In addition to raising funds to purchase needed items, PTO works closely with the parent volunteer coordinator to provide parent volunteers who assist in such areas as field day, book fairs, CRCT Testing, decorating for holidays, working in classrooms, etc. Your PTO holds annual elections for PTO President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Terms are two year terms. In addition to these offices, your PTO has two Parents in charge of Publicity. Currently, we are seeking a parent who is willing to co-chair a fundraising committee. PTO fundraisers have been set for the 2010-2011 school year with an emphasis on raising funds to support PTO projects. The above named positions make up your PTO Executive Committee. Executive Committee Meetings are held in the room 16 at 4:00 on the third Tuesday of each month with the exception of December. These meetings are open to all parents who wish to attend. Your PTO supports the school in ways traditional funding does not. We want Morningside to be the very best school. We will continue to raise funds to renovate the playground, provide Smart Boards in classrooms, and provide Standards Based Classroom Libraries, in addition to other projects our parents and teachers suggest to improve the education of all our students.
