Principal's Message
The faculty, staff, and I would like to welcome you to Mossy Creek Middle School! We are excited about this first school year in a brand new facility and the opportunity it provides us to serve you and to educate your child. As principal of Mossy Creek, it is important that you get to know me. I have eighteen years of educational experience in Houston County, eight years as a teacher, two years as an assistant principal for instruction, and six years as principal at Feagin Mill Middle School in Houston County.
Be assured that I am deeply dedicated to the philosophy and core values that are bedrock to Mossy Creek. We are a community school that provides a rigorous academic education through a standards-based approach while working to develop good character in our students. We are focused on learning through a collaborative culture in which all teachers plan together to provide strategies that differentiate learning for the individual student. We have an open-door policy where parents and community members are welcome to visit, observe and offer suggestions. This year, we will establish a school council that will work diligently to ensure effective communication between the school and community and to improve student achievement.
Your child is my first priority! I look forward to working with you, and through your insight, providing every possible opportunity for your child to be successful. Working together we will raise the bar of expectation and challenge our students to learn and achieve at their highest possible level!
