 Mrs. Paige Busbee |

Mrs. Paige Busbee, a Houston County native, is an alumnus of Centerville Elementary; Northside Jr. High, and Northside High School. She continued her education at Auburn University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Science and a Master’s of Education degree. She later received her Specialist in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. She has eight years of teaching experience in the Houston County School system, and seven years experience as a middle school administrator. She has completed the Georgia Governor’s Leadership institution and is currently participating in the Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement. Her love for children, passion for teaching, and work experience has prepared her well for the role of instructional leader. Mrs. Busbee has three children, Hannah, Ross and Ashlyn, who attend Houston County Schools.

Assistant Principal for Instruction E-Mail
Mrs. Carpenter, a Houston County native, is an alumnus of Westside Elementary, Tabor Jr. High and Northside High School. She received an Associate of Arts degree from Gordon Jr. College in 1980, a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education in 1983 and a Master Degree in Reading K-12 in 1988 from Georgia Southwestern College. In 1995, she received her Specialist in Education, Administration/Supervision, from the University of Georgia. A 21 year veteran in the Houston County School System, she taught 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students general education and reading at Westside, Elberta, and Northside elementary schools. Upon Feagin Mill’s opening, she taught 7th grade, then 8th grade language arts, and later taught reading in all grades. Mrs. Carpenter is in her fourth year as Assistant Principal for Instruction at Feagin Mill where she supervises instruction and related programs, scheduling, field trips, testing, and professional development for teachers.

Assistant Principal E-mail
Dr. Andy Gentry was born and raised in Houston County. After high school, he attended college on a baseball scholarship where he played at Georgia College and then at Georgia Southwestern. He received both his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Physical Education from Georgia Southwestern. He later attended Argosy University where he earned a Specialist’s degree and Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership.
Dr. Gentry has 13 years of teaching and coaching experience in the Houston County school system. He taught and coached at Perry Middle School, Perry High School, and Houston County High School. With the opening of Mossy Creek Middle School, he will begin his first year as an assistant principal.

Counselor E-mail
Jeri Thompson is a native of Thomasville, Georgia where she graduated from high school in 1989. Mrs. Thompson received a B.S. in Special Education at The University of Georgia—GO DAWGS—and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Fort Valley State University in May of 2006. She taught Special Education at Feagin Mill Middle School for 7 years and was the counselor at Morningside Elementary for 1 year. She is excited about being a Mossy Creek Gator. Mrs. Thompson lives in Perry with her two children, Bryce and Bowen. She is looking forward to creating relationships with the students here at Mossy Creek Middle School through the guidance and counseling program. |

Counselor E-mail
Mrs. Moss received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University, a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Fort Valley State University and a Specialist degree in Curriculum Instruction and Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She previously taught 7th grade Language Arts at Feagin Mill Middle School. Mrs. Moss’ prior experience involved two years as a special education assistant at Valdosta State University and four years as a counselor for the Upward Bound Program. She is excited about providing services to the staff and students of Houston County to ensure student achievement. Mrs. Moss' favorite pastimes are reading and spending time with her husband and two boys. |
