Any staff member observing students performing acts of kindness, etc., without being asked are encouraged to complete a form outlining what the student did. The form is placed in the designated folder in the principal's mailbox. The principal tapes a special pencil on the back of the form and reads the student's name over the intercom. The student comes to the office after morning announcements to get his/her reward.

Superstars Celebration
At the end of each six weeks, the teacher recognizes students who have had exemplary behavior/citizenship. The students will attend a special snack celebration sponsored by the PTO. Parties

Houston County Board of Education policy does not allow us to have birthday parties or to give out birthday invitations at school. We also cannot give parents addresses or telephone numbers for students for birthday parties. In addition, balloons and flowers will not be delivered to students at school. There are no exceptions to these rules.
The school honors student birthdays monthly. On birthday recognition days the students will sit on the stage if they choose. They will also be served ice cream and cake. Summer birthdays are celebrated with the May birthdays. A ribbon will be placed in the teacher’s mailbox for the student to wear to lunch so he/she may get the ice cream & cake.

We will have class parties on the day before our Winter Holidays begin and on the last day of school. These parties may be planned and held by the room parents. They may begin a 2:15pm. These are the only two days that class parties will be held. Parents are invited to attend these parties.
