Lunceford, Anthony July 07
Mr. Anthony Lunceford

Welcome to Lindsey Elementary!

It is my honor and pleasure to be the principal of such a wonderful school. Here at Lindsey, you’ll find caring and compassionate teachers who day in and day out enthusiastically and lovingly challenge our students to reach higher than they ever thought they could. This mentality has paid off. For the last eight years Lindsey has achieved AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress). Just recently our school was recognized as a “Distinguished Title I School” for its progress in all areas of CRCT testing. We also received the Jeff Townsend Award for successful implementation of the Second Step program which deals with peer mediation and is given by the Children’s Trust Fund Commission. Our goal for Lindsey is for our students to score 90% on all facets of the CRCT. This goal, we feel is certainly within our reach.

My pledge to you and the “Lindsey Family” is to provide a safe, educationally sound environment for children to learn and grow. My desire for the students is to continue the rich tradition that abounds here and continue to reach for our goal of being a 90-90-90 school as it relates to testing. It is my hope to promote this school and its students in and around our community to anyone who will listen that our expectations of our students will remain high in order to produce future contributing members of society.

Lastly, I hope we can present to you a warm caring place for anyone who enters. I encourage you to visit and get involved with us as we “Savor the Challenge” in the upcoming year. Our hope is for you to experience the excitement and enthusiasm that exists and share in the success of our school.
