Parent Involvement Events for 2011-2012

We can’t do all we do at Kings Chapel without our wonderful parent volunteers.  If you would like to know what opportunities are available for you to help at our school, please email me or come by room 17B and see me.  Tuesdays are Volunteer Work Days so feel free to drop in and lend a hand.

Volunteer Training is required for all volunteers at KCES every year.  Watch for flyers announcing scheduled training dates.

Our Family Resource Center is located in Room 17B.  We have information on topics such as parenting, safety, homework, reading, nutrition and family issues.  Many of these materials are on display and available outside the front office as well.  There are also videos and books that can be checked out from the Media Center.  The Family Resource Center and Media Center are available from 8:00 – 3:30 daily and the materials outside the front office are accessible anytime the school is open.  Stop by and pick something up!

You can also visit GEORGIA PIRC on-line at www.georgiapirc.net for additional parenting resources.  They have information on topics such as Reading to Your Child, Starting Kindergarten, Homework Help, Parent-Teacher Conferences, PTAs and PTOs, Transition to Middle School, Helping Your Child Succeed in High School and 100 Tips for Parents.
