Mrs. Emily Whigam, Pre-K Teacher

Mrs. Emily Whigam

I am a 2001 graduate of Westfield High School. After graduation I attended Middle Georgia College where I received my Associate’s degree. From there I moved on to Georgia Southwestern State University. I received by Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I just could not seem to get enough learning in, so I jumped right in to my Master’s degree. I completed my Master’s degree in Reading on December 2006. I just can’t seem to get enough learning in so I am going back to Georgia Southwestern in the Fall to begin working on my Specialist degree. I will be working towards a Leading & Learning degree in the Early Childhood area. Hopefully, I will complete my degree June 2009.

This is the start of my 4rd year teaching. For the first two years, I taught Pre-K at Perry Primary. When I heard they would be adding Pre-K to Kings Chapel, I decided to volunteer and make the move. I am very excited about beginning my 4rd year here at Kings Chapel.

I truly love being a teacher, especially a Pre-K teacher. I love waking up and coming to work every morning to see “my” little four year olds. They just make my day!! I enjoy being very active and working with them daily.

I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time with my family.
