Accelerated Reader Program

Huntington Middle School is proud to have Accelerated Reading Enterprise Edition - a web-based program from Renaissance Place which includes all reading practice quizzes, vocabulary quizzes, and literacy quizzes. The web site is available in Spanish also, and many tests have voice support for those students who need tests read to them. The program features a home connection site that allows parents to view their students' progress. Huntington students read and quizz all year in preparation for the AR celebration held each May for those students who reach their AR goals. Each student who reaches 250 points also receives a free T-shirt.

6th grade goal: 40 points
7th grade goal: 50 points
8th grade goal: 60 points

AR Book Finder Renaissance Home Connect


Students use the NEO2 tablets to take AR quizzes in their classrooms.	Students who earn their AR points enjoy a day outside with inflatables, grilled burgers, and a volleyball game against the teachers.
