Dr. Gwendolyn Taylor

Originally from Crawford County, Dr. Taylor has been a Houston County educator for 20 years. During this time she has gained a reputation as a person who embodies Huntington's mission statement of being a life-long learner. Dr. Taylor prefers to lead by example and she truly wants everyone to know how important education is in our lives. To show this she has obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Masters of Science in Middle Grades Education from Fort Valley State College. Her certifications are in Middle Grades education with a Science concentration. Additionally, Dr. Taylor obtained an Education Specialist degree in Administration from Georgia Southwestern College and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from The University of Georgia.

Dr. Taylor is extremely devoted to Huntington Middle School and its community. She started her professional career at Rumble as an 8th grade Science teacher. She is also very proud of the fact that she was Teacher of the Year for Rumble in 1989. Dr. Taylor also served as assistant principal at Tabor Middle School before returning to Rumble as their principal in 1998.

Dr. Taylor continues to grow and learn as she commits herself to the unique needs of middle school students. Her goal is to ensure that every stakeholder at Huntington has the resources they need to grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. She is excited about opening the new Huntington Middle School and is confident that we will continue in the tradition of excellence and success.






Dr. Brenda Lee

Dr. Brenda S. Lee is originally from Mt. Vernon, Alabama and is a product of the Mobile County Public School system. After high school, she earned a BS degree in Accounting from Tuskegee Institute, a MS degree in Middle Grades from Ft. Valley State University, a MS degree in Leadership and a Specialist degree in Middle Grades from Georgia College and State University, and a PhD in Leadership from Argosy University.

Dr. Lee has been in education since 1994, having worked at McEvoy Middle School, Perry Middle School and Bert Rumble Middle School. Prior to working in education, she worked in accounting. She is the proud parent of two children, Kayla and Breland.








Steve Wroblewski

Mr. Wroblewski graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University with a Bachelors Degree in Health and Physical Education. He furthered his education at Columbus State and University attaining his Masters and Specialists Degrees in Educational Leadership. He also added a certificate in Learning Disabilities and Interrelated.

He began his teaching career in 1993 working in the Dooly County School System, where he spent two years at Dooly County High School and seven years at Vienna Elementary School. He was hired as an Interrelated teacher at Bert Rumble Middle School in 2002.


Mr. Wroblewski was born in Ames, Iowa. He is married to Amy, and they have three children, Payton, Camden, and Emily.

Miranda Mercer

Ms. Mercer has been an educator for 14 years. She taught fifth grade for seven years and eighth grade for seven years before becoming a counselor in December 2005. She graduated with a Bachelors and Masters in middle grades education from Fort Valley University. Ms. Mercer earned her EdS in School & Guidance Counseling from Argosy University.

Dr. Jenny Hattaway is a product of the Houston County School System and a graduate of WRHS. After high school, she continued her education by earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary and Middle Grades Education at the University of North Florida, a Masters Degree in School Counseling from Fort Valley State University, a Specialists degree in Educational Administration from Columbus State University and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Argosy University. She also has a certificate in Gifted Education.

Dr. Hattaway has been in education for 22 years having taught at Archer Elementary (Archer, Florida), Centerville Elementary, Warner Robins Middle School and Northside Middle School. She served as a high school counselor for 10 years at Houston County High School and as Lead Counselor for the Houston County School System for three years. She has been married to Tim for 33 years and has two sons and two grandsons.

Dr. Hattaway is excited to be at Huntington Middle School to support the students, parents, and teachers as she works together with all stakeholders to remove barriers to student achievement.
