Office Staff

The Office Personnel of Houston County High School consists of the School Secretaries, the Receptionists, the Bookkeeper, the Administrative Tech Specialist (ATS), Attendance Clerk, and the SST Clerk.


Guidance Counselors

Services available through the guidance/counseling office include: personal counseling to students, individual and group activities for academic, emotional and career development, information about course offerings and programs, college and career information and counseling, scholarship and financial assistance for post-secondary opportunities. The Counseling office also coordinates intervention/prevention services, maintains all student records, provides ASSET, PSAT, SAT, and ACT information, and coordinates school-wide testing services. Guidance services will be offered to all students based upon student need and desire to participate unless written parental notice requests that services not be offered. Parent conferences should be scheduled through the Counseling office. Parents should call 988-6338 to schedule an appointment.


Media Center

One media specialist and a library clerk are available to meet the needs of students and teachers at HCHS.  With more than 22,000 books, videos, and periodicals, the HCHS library is prepared to help all Bears meet their academic needs.
