Accelerated Math 2
Instructors: Debbie Dempster and Jeff Grange
|
Unit Overview
Unit 6 Part 2: Solving Equations
MA2A5. Students will solve a variety of equations and inequalities.
(Classzone Math 3 Book Sections 2.3, 2.5, 2.6).
Note: The materials at http://www.classzone.com/ are very helpful for unit practice. The @home tutor section contains practice exercises with step by step solutions. The section numbers for the Classzone materials are listed in parentheses above. Please note that the indicated sections on Classzone may contain more material than what was taught in class. Students should check with their teacher if they have questions. Please use the notes, tasks and worksheets provided by the teacher as a guide for the material needed for a quiz or test.
Important Note: When linking to Classzone materials, the section numbers may suddenly change. For example a link to our section 4.2 may lead to material that is labeled with a different section number, such as 6.7. This is because some of the extra help comes from older McDougal Littell books. The material should be relevant to the unit you originally selected, regardless of section number.

Retesting Policy
Students may re-test all tests during the semester. However, retests require:
1) At least 30 minutes tutoring before the re-test. This must include correcting the entire original test. Students cannot take their tests home to do the corrections.
2) The re-test must be taken outside of class at one of the offered times. No exceptions.
3) When taking the re-test, students must present the teacher with a slip proving they attended tutoring(these will be provided).
4) The correction and re-testing process will be completed within ten days after the student receives his or her original test grade (one week for correction/tutoring sessions and one week for re-testing sessions). Dates for corrections and test re-takes will be posted on this website.
