SWAT Team (Students Working & Assisting with Technology) |
Sponsor: Mr. Wyatt
Purpose: Students will meet periodically after school to learn various technology skills that they can help teachers and other students with in the classroom pertaining to technology. |
Drama Club |
Sponsor: Ms. Slavik
Purpose: To promote student involvement and achievement through various theatrical productions. |
Future Scientists and Engineers of America Club |
Sponsor: Mrs. Coggins
Purpose: To provide students the opportunity to experience real engineering and science with a practical, hands-on method which uses projects that challenge student teams to creatively solve problems. |
Beta Club |
Sponsors: Mrs. McDade and Ms. Mercer
Purpose: The purpose of the National Beta Club shall be to promote the ideals of character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students, to reward meritorious achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school. |
Helping Hawks |
Sponsor: Mrs. Holloway
Purpose: Students will assist the media specialist with duites pertaining to opening the library each morning. |
Prayer Club |
Sponsor: Ms. Love & Ms. Slavik
Purpose: To encourage students to be an example in their words, conversation, love, spirit, faith, and purity according to 1 Timothy 4:12 through devotions, prayers, and Bible studies.

Quiz Bowl Team |

Purpose: To provide students the opportunity to gain and share knowledge in all academic areas, to produce a love for learning, to gain knowledge in all academic areas, to share knowledge with others, to work as a team in accomplishing goals. |
The Hawk Tawk Newspaper Club |
Sponsor: Mrs. Summers
Purpose: Using our school newspaper, The Hawk Tawk, to inform students, parents and teachers of what's going on in our school, community and world. |
Brothers of Respect Mentoring Club |
Sponsor: Mr. Chester, Mr. Talton, Mr. Monbeck, Mr. Williamson
Purpose: To assist young men in reaching their maximum potential academically, behaviorally, and morally. |
FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) |
Sponsor: Ms. Love
Purpose: To help prepare students for life in the business world.

Huntington Hawks Dance Divas(Huntington Hawks Heated Sensations) |
Sponsors: Mr. Johnson, Ms. Flournoy & Mrs. Johnson
Purpose: Providing an affordable extra-curricular activity to support the spirit and moral of Huntington Middle School. Also, to promote dance through a positive self image, while building student self-esteem. |
Cafe Book Club |

Purpose: To engage students in book discussions and activities. |
SOAR Nights |
Sponsor: Mrs. Holloway
Purpose: To promote and encourage literacy across the curriculum. HMS students and their parent/guardian can visit the media center one night a month to read, check out books, take AR tests, work on homework, or research. Please see club link on media page for more details.

Purpose: To promote refined young ladies. Mentors will work to motivate, inspire, and encourage the young ladies to strive to be the best; academically, behaviorally, and socially.
