African American Read In logo
Eagle Springs participated in the 21st National African American Read-In Chain on February 1, 2010.  This event is endorsed by the International Reading Association.  The emphasis is sharing books authored by African American writers.  Guest readers were invited to come to our school and choose from our selection of books and then were assigned to a classroom to read.  Some readers were parents from our school but most were from the community.  We had guest readers who were employed at Robins Air Force Base as well as retired educators and various department heads from our school system.
