Principal, Mrs. Linda Horne

Mrs. Horne graduated from Fitzgerald High School in Fitzgerald, Georgia. She obtained her BS degree in Elementary Education from Tift College in Forsyth, Georgia and her Master’s Degree from Georgia College and State University in Milledgevile, Ga. She completed course work for Elementary School Counseling at the University of Georgia and for Administration and Leadership at the University of Georgia and Columbus State University. She began her teaching career in Fitzgerald, Georgia, and has taught in Okinawa, Japan, and San Antonio, Texas, before moving to Warner Robins. She taught at Kings Chapel Elementary and was the Counselor at Kings Chapel and Shirley Hills Elementary. While a teacher a Kings Chapel, she was twice selected as “Teacher of the Year.” Mrs. Horne became the Instructional Coordinator at Perry Elementary and was also the Instructional Coordinator at Quail Run Elementary before becoming the Principal of David A. Perdue Primary. Mrs. Horne is married to Pete Horne and has a step-son named Peter.


Assistant Principal for Instruction, Mrs. Leslie Shultz

Mrs. Shultz is a graduate of Northside High School. She received a BS degree in Early Education from Valdosta State College and University and a Literacy Collaborative and Reading Reovery Certificate from Georgia State College and University. She completed her Educational Leadership Degree at Columbus State College and University. Mrs. Shultz taught Kindergarten and First Grade at Miller Elementary. She was an EIP teacher, a Reading Recovery Teacher, and then studied to become a Literacy Coordinator. As Literacy Coordinator she worked with the teachers and students in Kindergarten through Second Grade. She then worked as a Literacy Coordinator at Perry Primary. Mrs. Shultz lives with her husband, Matt (who is also an educator), sons, Patrick and Jordan, and daughter, Haley. She has a very close family and enjoys spending time with them as well as their horses and dog, Cotton.


Assistant Principal, Mrs. April Strevig

April Strevig is the Assistant Principal of Discipline for both Perdue Primary and Perdue Elementary. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Wichita State University (KS), a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University (GA), and a Specialist’s degree in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University (GA). Mrs. Strevig is currently working on her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Valdosta State University (GA). In the Houston County School System she has also served as a classroom teacher at Centerville Elementary, as Assistant Principal of Instruction at Pearl Stephens Elementary, and as Assistant Principal of Discipline at Perry Primary. Prior to joining the Houston County School System she taught in Derby, Kansas. She is married to Todd Strevig and has two sons, Michael who attends Houston County High and Jordan who attends Perdue Elementary.



Counselor, Mrs. Patricia Etheridge

Mrs. Etheridge has a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in School Counseling. As school counselor, her efforts focus on academic, personal/social and career development so students can achieve success in school and are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society. She is very passionate about working with young children and is dedicated to do whatever it takes to help a child feel successful. Mrs. Etheridge enjoys working with parents, volunteers, mentors, and teachers in developing successful solutions toward academic success.
Mrs. Etheridge is highly family oriented and enjoys spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and two poodles.
