Mission Statement


The Mission of David A. Perdue Elementary is to promote a strong foundation for learning, in a safe, supportive environment.


Beliefs

All students can learn.

Each student should be provided with instructional and learning experiences necessary to meet his educational needs regardless of intellectual, economic or cultural development.

We must strive to address the visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning modalities in a unified effort to teach students to assume responsibility for their learning.

Students can become productive citizens of our changing world by maximizing opportunities for their physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth.

The education of our students is a shared responsibility among faculty and staff, parents and the community.

Students need to apply their learning in meaningful contexts.

Students learn best when provided with appropriate opportunities for success.
