A LETTER TO PARENTS:
SCHOOL IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT
You as a parent are most influential in your child’s life and education. You have loved, fed, clothed and tried to teach your child right from wrong. Your child’s arrival at the school’s front door does not signify the beginning of their education, but a continuation of it.
The difference between a good school and a great school lies with the involvement of its parents. Students whose parents are involved tend to perform better in school. Perhaps you may not have much time to become involved, but just 15 minutes of uninterrupted time spent with your child on a daily basis can drastically improve study skills, build self esteem and instill a lasting passion for learning. Please remember, children learn to place importance on the values held by their parents.
In order to be an advocate for your child’s education we invite you to become part of the Centerville Elementary Team which strives to help students reach their highest potential.
“Tell me and I forget. Show me and I remember. Involve me and I understand."
