Mrs. Randall was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. A graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Mrs. Randall began her teaching and coaching career in Vandalia, Ohio at Morton Junior High. After marrying an Air Force computer engineer she moved to Hampton, Virginia where she taught high school government and geography and coached the varsity girls’ indoor/outdoor track team at Hampton High School. In 1992, Mrs. Randall completed her M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling from the College of William and Mary and began her career as a high school counselor.
In 1996, the Air Force moved Mr. and Mrs. Randall to Warner Robins, Georgia and Mrs. Randall began her career in Houston County. She began at Houston County High School as a counselor when she was selected to participate in the Houston County Leadership Program. In the spring of 1999, Mrs. Randall completed her Educational Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Georgia and was hired as the Assistant Principal of Feagin Mill Middle School. After serving three years at Feagin Mill, Mrs. Randall was hired as the Principal of Bonaire Middle in the fall of 2002.
Mrs. Randall is married to Scott Randall, a systems engineer for Northrop Grumman, and has one son, Jordan age 14.


Jan Melnick

Mr. Melnick is a product of the Houston County School System. After graduating from Northside High School, he earned a degree in Public Relations from Georgia Southern University. He went on to attend graduate school at Fort Valley State University where he earned a Master’s degree in middle school education. Mr. Melnick continued his education and went on to earn a Specialist’s degree in school administration from Georgia College and State University.
Mr. Melnick has been an employee of the Houston County School system since 1994. He started teaching science at Northside Middle School. At the end of his first year of teaching, the county opened Feagin Mill Middle School. Mr. Melnick transferred to Feagin Mill Middle where he spent the next five years teaching science, social studies, and career education. After teaching for six years, he was selected as the assistant principal at Bonaire Middle in 2001.
Mr. Melnick is married to Laura Anne Melnick, the counselor at Matt Arthur Elementary. They are the proud parents of Marissa Melnick.

Mrs. Cawthon has been in education for 18 years. A native of Bonaire, Georgia she attended Georgia Southern University. She was a teacher at Perry Middle School for 12 years, and has a Master’s degree in Middle Grades for Georgia Southwestern and a Specialist degree in Leadership from University of Georgia. She began her administrative career as the Instructional Coordinator at Bonaire Middle School in 1998.

Lori Loos graduated from Erskine College with a BA degree in Behavioral Science. She then attended Clemson University where she received her Master’s degree in Community Agency Counseling. Mrs. Loos has 5 years experience in working with children and adolescents as a Mental Health Counselor. Mrs. Loos then taught special education at Bonaire Middle for 3 years. Recently, Mrs. Loos obtained an add-on certificate in school counseling from Albany State University and is now a certified school counselor.




Rhonda McDuffie

Mrs. McDuffie is a native of Wilcox County, Ga. She earned a B.S. degree in Secondary Social Science Education from Georgia Southwestern University and a M.Ed. in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. Mrs. McDuffie taught for 8 years at Crisp County Middle School and then for 6 years at Wilcox County High School where she also served as the Varsity Cheer Coach and the Middle School Golf Coach. She began teaching interrelated social studies at Houston County High School in the winter of 2007 and was then hired as a counselor at Bonaire Middle School in the spring of 2007.
