Dr. Jolie DeLoreto Hardin graduated in 1987 from Northside High School and obtained a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University, two master’s degrees (Master of Education and Master of Educational Leadership) from Georgia College, Specialist in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and Doctorate from Argosy University. She began her teaching career in Crawford County then transferred to Houston County (Tabor Middle School). She was selected as Tabor’s Teacher of the Year in 2000, became the Instructional Coordinator at Northside Middle School in 2000, and was selected to be the Assistant Principal at MAE and Westside Elementary in 2002. This is Mrs. Hardin’s fifth year as Matt Arthur's Principal. She is married to John Davis Hardin, formerly of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Dr. Hammond graduated from Ft. Valley State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal justice and originally planned to go to law school. She began her professional career as a police officer in Macon and later worked in Ft. Valley. She was honored as Police Officer of the Year and promoted to Detective where she dealt with juvenile crimes and taught D.A.R.E. She went back to college to obtain a Master’s Degree in Education, a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate from Argosy University. She began teaching at Byron Middle School and was selected as Byron Middle Teacher of the Year. She then went on to be Peach County’s OVERALL Teacher of the Year. She transferred to Houston County and began teaching at Tabor Middle School in 2000. She was Tabor’s 2004 Teacher of the Year. She is married and has 3 children.

Dr. Harrell started her career teaching Home Economics at Twiggs County High School in 1989. She later obtained her certification in elementary grades because she enjoyed working with younger children. In 1993 she began teaching third grade at Shirley Hills Elementary. She was selected as Teacher of the Year for Shirley Hills in 1996. She has been the Assistant Principal for Instruction since 2000. She works with teachers to help implement the most current researched based trends in education, handles all aspects of testing, orders materials needed for instruction, arranges field trips, evaluates teachers, serves as the liaison between central office staff and teachers, assists with creating master schedule, and many other duties to help with the daily operation of the school. Dr. Harrell has lived in Warner Robins her entire life and is the proud mother of two boys. She recently earned her Doctorate from Argosy University.

Laura Melnick enjoyed teaching for ten years before coming to Matt Arthur as a counselor. She loves helping teachers and students have a great year. She stays very busy doing classroom guidance, small groups, individual counseling, and helping wherever she is needed. She is very excited to be a part of the Matt Arthur family.
She also loves being married to her husband Jan Melnick, who is an Assistant Principal at Bonaire Middle, and being a mother to her beautiful three-year-old daughter Marissa.
