Cafe Book Club

The Cafe Book Club is a small group of students who are chosen randomly each month to participate in a book discussion while having lunch in the media center. The book of the month is announced approximately 2 weeks prior to each meeting. Students who are interested may enter their names into a drawing, and five names from each grade are selected. Those 15 students receive a copy of the book with a bookmark that details the meeting. On the day of the meeting, students use their bookmarks as passes to leave class, collect their lunches, and meet in the media center. Students should be prepared to share thoughts, ideas, and opinions about the selected book.
