Warner Robins High Wins 1st at Region One-Act
Warner Robins High School won first place at the Region AAAAA One-Act competition with its performance of Anatomy of Gray. Senior Sam Haines also won Best Actor portraying Gray, the lead character. In addition, two students were named to the All-Star cast: Brittni Foskey as Tiny and Blake Copeland as Crutch.
Tamara Fisher, drama teacher and director, said, “Last night was one of the best nights of my life, and I was able to share the moment with some of my most favorite people: my cast and crew of Anatomy of Gray and my precious daughter Emily. I think bringing Emily to competitions will become yet another tradition. It has been a whirlwind and I am still spinning.” The Warner Robins cast and crew will next compete at the State AAAAA One-Act competition at Bleckley County High School on Saturday, Nov. 14.
The Warner Robins High Drama Department invites the public to see their award-winning performance this weekend. Anatomy of Gray will be presented tonight, Friday, Nov. 6, and tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door.
Anatomy of Gray is a story of lost love and life. To some, the town of Gray may be the most boring town in the whole world, but on this particular day someone has come to town to not only change its hue, but to change the hearts and minds of all who live in Gray, Indiana.
Warner Robins High is located at 401 South Davis Drive. Steve Monday serves as Principal. For more information, contact Fisher at (478) 929-7877, extension 51275, or tamara.fisher@hcbe.net.
